2018 01 09 - Transfer Call

Hey, so today we got our transfer call and I’m staying one more in
Nagamine and with Elder Kishi. This week has been a busy one, 

Monday,
New Years, the biggest holiday in Japan and we went over to Tsuboi and
hung out there all day. We went to a sports center called Round 1 and
then went and checked out the shrine near the Kumamoto castle, then we
went over to a member’s house and had dinner. 

Tuesday, district meeting then we went to the Matsuzaki’s house and ate lunch then had
dinner at the Hirata’s house again. 

Wednesday, had lunch at the
Sakata’s house, their family is big fans of Star Wars and then had
dinner at the Aoki’s house and the Usui family came over too, it was
hilarious and a ton of fun. Then we left to go to Eikaiwa, which very
few people came to and we left early because Furusho asked for a
blessing. 

Thursday, fairly normal day but, because we didn’t do FHE on
Monday we did it today and sadly no one came. 

Saturday, normal day,
people weren’t happy with us but we were able to make some Mochi, it
was way fun. 

Sunday, fast Sunday and we had church at 9 other than
that, it was a pretty normal Sunday. Monday, it rained all freakin day
and it was pretty cold rain too. We did have FHE and it was way fun
because people actually came.
I have spent most of the day at a famous land mark here called Mt Aso
and it was way cool and freezing cold, it was snowing and it was super
windy.

2018 01 01 - Suizenjikoen

2018 01 01 - New Year's

Happy New Years Everyone!!(tomorrow if your in the 🇺🇸) it was a fun week and this transfer went by fast because tomorrow is transfers, the first time I’ve let you guys know that the week before right? 

Monday, we went to Suizenjikoen again and took some way cool pics. We didn’t have FHE today so, we hit the asphalt. 

Tuesday, Had DTM, way cool. We went over to the bishop’s house and had a meal and talked with them, way cool family. So, we showed up to the meal appointment a little early so we 伝道 near by and found a way cool young family. 

Wednesday, during morning 伝道 we found a guy that isn’t really interested but is willing to meet again and that was cool. Then we had an appointment with an Eikaiwa student and we went to met him but he didn’t show, it was kinda sad and then we had a fun Eikaiwa, not much was different. 

Thursday, we did weekly planning and 伝道, good day. 

Friday, cleaned the church, then some guy walked in saying he wanted to learn about our religion and so we talked with him for a little bit and set up a time to met tomorrow and the he said he would be coming to church. Then we helped Furushou clean his apartment, helping moving some bigger heavy stuff and then had FHE. 

Saturday, sadly the guy was a no show. Because most stores are probably closed on Monday because of New Years, we did shopping today and Kishi got a hair cut and then Game Night, sadly not a lot of people came. 

Sunday, so, a Korean dude that is doing some traveling stayed at a members house and so he came to church and he was way cool. After church we went over with the 姉妹 and had a meal with the investigator and it was way good food. 

So, today is an all day Pday so, we are in the ZL’s area going to a sports arena and going to have a ball.

 I’m out of ideas for this week’s letter’s tittle but it was a good week. Monday, FHE we went through the 72hr kit of the member and helped him sort through what is needed and not and honestly, I now really want to go backpacking/hiking. And when we got home, we found the apartment packed with Elders for the 大会 tomorrow. Tuesday, had a we good Zone 大会 and one the things that was announced was the we are using Facebook and Line(a messager app) and that was way cool. Wednesday, so, to use Facebook and Line we need to sign in and that was たいへん because of all the restrictions the Ipads and Tablets have but, after we signed in we had to clean up our Facebook, which means basically deleting all posts and pictures before the mission except for though involving your family and that was fun for everyone who had a Facebook from before the mission. Thursday, the Henrys came over for a cleaning check and I was translating, that was freaken’ hard and when they were done they gave us some chips and actual salsa, good day. Friday, so, Kishi長老 finally got on Facebook so, today was spent cleaning up his account then teaching a lesson to Fujimoto, he is doing good. Saturday, had a good lesson with Hiro then helped out prep for the Christmas party. We went to visit a lady we met the day before and she was way cool but, she can’t met again until April, which is way sad. Then we had a way fun Game Night. Sunday, still not good at translating but after sacrament meeting we went with a member to visit a LA and it was a bit of a struggle to get there but sadly he wasn’t home. Then after church we did some more Christmas prep and that took forever. 

It’s been a pretty busy week, mostly getting ready for Christmas, speaking of Christmas I got a package from my family and it has a 12 days of Christmas thing going on and it’s pretty interesting. Here is some sound advice, if your planning on going on a mission, start cleaning up your Facebook now, is way hard in the field to clean up.

Today we had a talent show in Eikaiwa (English conversation class) and it was fun.

Thursday (木 Moku 曜日yobi):

We said goodbye to Elder Lyman then went and picked up Kishi長老 (choro - elder) and it’s been way
fun.

Friday (金 Kin 曜日yobi):

Nothing interesting just weekly planning.

Saturday (土 do 曜日yobi):

Today we had a lesson with Hiro (he’s a member) and Honda AND had a 食事 (shokuji - meal) with a
LA (less active) and then did Sports night. SO, yeah, we didn’t 伝道 (Dendo - tracting) at all.

Sunday (日 nichi 曜日yobi):

Church was fun today. We got to meet a good number of members. I got to translate too. Translating is a lot of work and that part of church wasn’t fun and I’m not very good. We also had some RAs (return appointments) that we visited, but sadly they weren’t there.
